Van Kranti is a climate revolution to fight climate change, help communities most impacted by it’s effect, by using technology and community actions.
Community
Spreading awareness about climate change and how to fight it with reforestation and afforestation in communities across India, specifically in Indigenous Adivasi areas where most of the forest cover is, but has depleted over the decades.
Technology
Using technologies like drones to do reforestation and afforestation. Study germination rate and survival rate of seeds/trees using evidence and data based approach using machine learning and AI.
Seeds and Seedballs
Spreading awareness about protecting and replanting native trees, the effort is to create local seed banks for local tree species and use them to create seed balls for that area, which we can use in our drone based reforestation and afforestation.

About Us
Van Kranti is a climate change centric reforestation/afforestation project started in a little indigenous village in India called Haripur by Nilesh Vasave with an aim to spreading the climate revolution across the country specifically in Adivasi areas, which are indigenous people of India who mainly lives in and around forests and are first line of defense against deforestation and climate change.
